Cluster Sales Manager (Leisure)

Our client is a 5* Boutique Hotel located in Bangkok, Thailand. Hotel is part of a large chain.

Title of Position: Cluster Sales Manager (Leisure)

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform.
  • To assist the ADOS/ Leisure to achieve both quantified and qualified unit objectives as set out in the Marketing Plan and shall be required to manage accounts and develop new business for company while also ensuring that high standards, quality and maximum profitability is aimed for at all times.
  • To establish company’s brand positioning by reflecting the image of hotel at all times and to perform the highest standard of service in compliance to company s style as to emphasize our need for consistency throughout.
  • To assist ADOS to achieve both quantified and qualified unit objectives as set out in the Marketing Plan.
  • To be responsible for the overall Account Management of hotel.
  • To develop new business, develop existing and secure the business for hotel from the accounts and markets/territories assigned with primary focus on selling rooms.
  • To maximize room revenue by selling the hotel product and services. 
  • Lead by example and manage the sales team effectively.
  • Have a good understanding of the hotel’s marketing plan, budget and ensure the sales team is fully aware of sales strategies and in particular those concerning their accounts. 
  • Be knowledgeable about the hotel product knowledge and update market intelligence always.
  • Completely understand by knowing how to use the S&M computer program efficiency, importance information and activities should be updated at all time.
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with the local and overseas clients to ensure positive and frequent exposure of the hotel.
  • Follow-up / co-ordinate closely with company marketing representative in China, Hong Kong, India, Middle East and Taiwan as well as Regional Office in Singapore.
  • Having strongly responsible and ownership. 
  • Be proficient in English and Thai 
  • Regularly check the English fluency in writing and understanding within your department
  • Be open minded
  • Show your skills as an attentive listener to both our guests and your subordinates
  • Encourage open communication and share information with your subordinates
  • Actively seek feedback from your team 
  • Hold daily briefings and regular meetings to communicate important information to your team and ensure follow up
  • Communicate with Guests and be visible in the local community as a representative of the hotel
  • Concentrate when you are listening to others (guests, managers or colleagues) give direct eye contact.
  • Pay attention to your body language – stand up straight and naturally – do not use bad habits (biting nails) whilst in guest areas
  • Practice speaking in English and attend any English training that is offered to you.
  • Speak clearly in a friendly and positive tone to guests, managers and colleagues – if somebody looks confused then repeat the information carefully
  • If you do not understand a message or request ask the person politely to repeat or ask your supervisor or manager for help
  • If you take a message for another person – always ensure that you deliver this message as soon as possible 
  • Write information down so that you will not forget any of the important details
  • If you have a problem that you want to discuss ask your supervisor / manager for a time when you can met to talk 
  • Be open and stay calm when receiving feedback from others
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by your manager from time to time.

Job Specification:

  • Thai nationality 
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent hotel management courses with hotel operations; 
  • Occupational Safety and Health training courses
  • Supervisor Level Certification
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in hotel sales
  • Excellent both oral and written English skills, Thai language 
  • Computer skills Microsoft Office 
  • Knowledgeable in Opera Sales & Catering system
  • Self-starter, goal oriented, tactful, sociable, forthcoming, creative, analytical, level headed, resilient and organized
