Six Senses plans first luxury resort in Bali

All-villa cliff-top resort to open in 2017

Six Senses has unveiled plans to develop it first luxury resort in Bali.

Set on a 12-hectare cliff-top plot in the Uluwatu area of the island, overlooking the Indian Ocean, the new Six Senses Bali will include 28 ‘sky villas’, 62 one-bedroom villas and seven two-bedroom villas. A second phase of the project will also include 60 residential villas, including three-bedroom family units.

“Six Senses is delighted to work with [resort developer] PT Cahaya Warna Prima on the Uluwatu development. The location is incredible and the design approach perfect for our brand,” said Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses. “This project will offer a new dimension in wellness for active and health-minded travellers.”

Facilities at the new resort will include a Six Senses Spa, a large central swimming pool, fitness centre and two restaurants, along with a cooking school and organic garden. There will also be an ‘Experiences Center’ to arrange tours and sightseeing trips across the island.

Six Senses Bali is scheduled for completion by the end of 2017. It will become the company’s first property in Indonesia and joins existing Asian portfolio of six resorts in Thailand, Vietnam, China and the Maldives.
