Best Western has opened a large resort property in Malaysia.
Located in the coastal town of Port Dickson, close to Kuala Lumpur, the 300-room Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort is set across more than nine hectares of grounds which includes Malaysia’s largest manmade beach – the size of five Olympic-sized swimming pools. The resort is centred on a large, freeform swimming pool, with waterslides, pirate ships, whirlpools and waterfalls.
Other resort facilities include a steam room, massage services, fitness centre, kids’ club, karaoke room, bicycle hire, games room, and an open air theatre for evening performances. For corporate groups, the resort also features 16 functions rooms and an 875m² ballroom able to accommodate up to 1,500 guests. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the resort.
“With such an incredible array of facilities and its location close to Kuala Lumpur, Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort is the perfect destination for family getaways and corporate retreats,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western’s Vice President of International Operations for Asia & the Middle East.
“The Malaysian hotel sector is currently booming, driven by the increasing spending power of Malaysian travellers, excellent transport links, and the quality of accommodation on offer. As the beach resort of choice for so many Malaysians, Port Dickson is at the very heart of this growth. We are confident Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort will become one of our most popular Asian properties,” de Souza added.
Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort becomes the sixth Best Western property in Malaysia, and continues the company’s rapid expansion in the country. Last year, Best Western debuted in Kuala Lumpur with the launch of Malaysia’s first luxury Best Western Premier hotel, and the company also has firm plans to add six more location across the country, including KL, Ipoh, Melaka, Shah Alam, Petalingjaya and Port Klang.
