Accor has revealed ambitious expansion plans for its midscale Mercure brand, with 53 new hotels planned in 2013 including its first in Turkey and Sweden. China arrivals continue to fall

The number of international tourists visiting China has continued to fall in 2013. According to the latest data from the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), reported by Xinhua, the country received 22.93 million international arrivals in the January-May 2013 period, down 4.1% compared to the same period last year. This follows a 1.5% decline in arrivals.
